Navigating social change at the
level of organizations
We are living in a time of rapid cultural and social change. As communities evolve, organizations are working to become more responsive and accountable to the diverse people they serve.
Change is happening all around us, and keeping pace can feel challenging. How do we respond thoughtfully to this moment? How do we build the internal capacity needed to meet these challenges with credibility and integrity?
Here are some questions to help begin the conversation:
When we say we want to change, what does that really mean? How do we unlearn habits, assumptions, and long-standing patterns so we can better align
Which of our practices truly reflect our stated values? How do we uncover the deeper motivation for change and make our values clear and visible?
How can we create space for courageous conversations about power, hierarchy, and privilege? How can we use our influence responsibly to strengthen our own agency and that of others?
What do we mean by terms like diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging?
What tools and practices help us create environments where everyone is treated with dignity and respect?
What does it take to challenge systems that maintain the status quo – whether those systems are mental, relational, or structural?
If any of these questions resonate with you, I invite you into the conversation.
Here is what I offer
Awareness – we will explore the cultural assumptions, conventions, and belief systems that shape your experiences. Together, we
will step back to observe how you function and how these factors influence your actions.
Vision – we will unpack and clarify your vision, helping you articulate what you aspire to. This creates direction and accountability as you move toward your goals.
Adaptation – we will work together to develop new norms, practices, and decisionmaking approaches so that change – whether small or significant – becomes purposeful and aligned with your values.
Resources – we will identify what already works well for you, including your intrinsic motivations, strengths, and existing resources, and build on these foundations.
